Gypsum board consumption has great potential for expansion
Gypsum boards are mainly used in ceiling decoration projects in China. From the perspective of product application proportion, gypsum board in my country accounts for more than 70% of ceiling decoration, and only less than 30% for partition wall system. Domestic partition wall materials are still dominated by traditional materials such as clay bricks. In contrast, in developed markets in Europe and the United States, gypsum board is mainly used in the field of building partition walls, accounting for about 80%, and it is used for ceiling decoration and accounting for less than 20%. Compared with Europe and the United States, there is a large room for improvement in the penetration rate of gypsum board in the partition wall market.
Gypsum board is mainly used in tooling in China, including commercial real estate and public buildings, accounting for about 75%, while the application of gypsum board in the wider residential area is relatively low, only about 25%. In contrast, in the developed markets of Europe and the United States, gypsum board is mainly used in the residential field, accounting for about 80%. The application of gypsum board in the residential field still has a lot of room for expansion.
